Pico Armor and Ptdockyard minis

While conducting research for the future naval rules I'm working on I discovered two interesting mini manufactures.

First is Picoarmor. They have 1/600 scale aircraft and ground forces for WWII and modern nations. I order one of their sample packs of modern armor and was amazed at the detail. These are half the size of microarmor and almost as detailed. I have since ordered and received another 14 packs of ultra moderns. Now I just need to figure out the best way to paint them.

Next is PTDockYard. This guy has 1/600 WWII small boats and 1/700 scale modern boats. I haven’t ordered anything from him yet, but I like that his modern boats include experimental craft as well as cutting edge ones.

Of course since the scales are so close this got me thinking about combined arms scenarios with fast attack boats guarding hover landing craft long enough for them to disembark their armored land units to stage a raid on a hostile corporate facility. This led me to consider rules for an over arching campaign, which led me to think about rules covering cyber warfare and small unit commando actions in super secret facilities. Now if I only had the time to write all this up.

The Pico Armour are made by Oddzial Osmy - a Polish company who also sell through Fighting 15s. The figures have very good reviews.
Interesting to note that only Pico armour sell the sample packs.
Tumbling dice do some things in this scale.
You could go even smaller if you were mad - Magister Militum do some 1:1200 scale land forces!
